Wonder no more when the City of Edina will be out plowing the streets. All you need to do to find out is call the Snowplow Hotline.

The Public Works Department made the announcement, saying “It’s going to help the residents know exactly what’s going on as far as when we’re plowing, why we’re waiting to plow and more. We’re going to give them the info they need,”

So, jot down this number, 952-826-1628, or program it into your phone.

Museum

The Minnesota Children’s Museum is a favorite place to hang out in the city. Children love to learn, laugh and explore unique things in the museum all year. The museum tends to host special events throughout the year and right now they are gearing up for some big fun for kids. Check out their upcoming Dog Tales, Imagination Corner, New Year’s party and more this December. 

Fidgety Fairytales

On Sunday, December 7th, you can enjoy Fidgety Fairytales in the Great Big Room. It’s going to be on the first floor behind the Box Office at 1 and 3:30pm.

Macy’s Play Date

On December 9th check out Macy’s Play Date from 1-4pm. For Macy’s cardholders, you’ll get free admission and it will include a free snack and special activity.

Art Gallery

Duluth, Minnesota is an excellent area for experiencing culture and art. They have a plethora of art galleries from photography to paintings. Here is a look at the art galleries worth checking out around Duluth.

Hawk Ridge Art Gallery - 5110 Peabody Street

The Hawk Ridge Art Gallery is located at the home of John L. Peyton and is home for visitors by appointment. They use a variety of mediums in their artwork including giclee prints, lithographic prints and 700 original paintings.

Giclee Prints are a new form of fine art reproduction and it comes from the French word meaning “to spray ink.” This means that a captured image is proofed and printed digitally using an advanced inkjet printer which sprays the canvas. There are even 500 books

One of the biggest concerns of Edina residents of late are the many coyote sightings in the city. Braemar and other parks act as natural habitats for a variety of critters, from foxes to coyotes. The best way to discourage a coyote visit to your yard is by not leaving anything they might want to eat outdoors. This includes pet food, garbage and, sadly, pets.

According to the City of Edina’s website, coyotes are “opportunistic hunters and will take advantage of the easiest and most available food sources.”

Knowing this, why is Edina entertaining a proposal to allow backyard chickens? To be fair, the proposal is actually for beekeeping. Apparently, however, chickens help bees by eating the pests that we’d normally kill with pesticides.

RestaurantThere are plenty of good restaurants in Edina. Whether you're looking for a hearty breakfast or a juicy burger, you can find it without leaving town. While it's hard to choose the "best" of anything, we think we've come close to finding the best restaurants in Edina. 

Best Breakfast or Brunch

We love breakfast or brunch at Edina Grill. This restaurant is located at 5028 France Avenue South and has been serving up piping hot, traditional b'fast since 1999. The menu offers up lots of choices, from the house-made bloody Mary to amazingly light puff pastries.

Other good choices for breakfast and brunch in Edina include Good Earth and the Original Pancake House.

Companion Rabbit Network

Celebrating its 13th year in Edina, the Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society (MCRS) has helped more than 1,200 bunnies get adopted. You may have seen MCRS volunteers at various PETCO stores around the area, handing out informational brochures and offering adoptable rabbits.
