Hawk Ridge Art Gallery - 5110 Peabody Street

The Hawk Ridge Art Gallery is located at the home of John L. Peyton and is home for visitors by appointment. They use a variety of mediums in their artwork including giclee prints, lithographic prints and 700 original paintings.

Giclee Prints are a new form of fine art reproduction and it comes from the French word meaning “to spray ink.” This means that a captured image is proofed and printed digitally using an advanced inkjet printer which sprays the canvas. There are even 500 books written by John available to view. John’s granddaughter and her husband, Kris and Doug are available for visitor viewings of the collection located in Lester Park.

Icehouse Studios - 1201 North 7th Avenue East

Check out Icehouse Studios located on North 7th Avenue East. They have drawings from photos, quick portrait sketches, prints and even music. They have original fine-art prints, handmade painting pins of the prints so that you can wear your art purchase and hang it on the wall. The studio has studio and field recording, original sound tracks for films and slideshows. Their studio overlooks beautiful Lake Superior.

Lake Superior Art Glass - 202 East Superior Street

If you like glass artwork, check out Lake Superior Art Glass. Feature the work of artists from around the Midwest including torch-worked, fused, stained and furnace work. The owner has been blowing glass for over ten years showing his work around the country.

Master Framing Gallery - 1431 London Road

Located a block from the Rose Garden and Lakewalk is the Master Framing Gallery in an early Duluth home. They feature local artists work including watercolors, photography, jewelry, hand painted scarves and more.
