SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium is the largest aquarium brand in the world. Upon visiting you will get to take part in interactive displays, fun talks, feed shows, games, up-close views and more. Located beneath the Mall of America and only 5 minutes from the airport, the aquarium is one of the most visited attractions in the area.

Whether you’re looking for an interactive exhibit for your kids to enjoy, want to experience the feedings and displays or want your kids to have an educational opportunity, the SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium offers something for the whole family to enjoy. Here is a look at the aquarium’s features.

Hours & Location

The aquarium is located beneath the Mall of America at 120 East Broadway in Bloomington. There is free parking near the East Entrance on Level One. The aquarium opens everyday by 10am and closes at 7pm on weekdays, 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 6:30pm on Sundays. Inside you’ll find a coffee cove for beverages and snacks.

What to Expect

The aquarium has over 10,000 sea creatures. You can watch feedings like the shark feeding, ray feeding, jellyfish feeding and more. Visitors will come face to face with animals never-before-seen in Minnesota.

Inside you’ll experience the Mysteries of the Rainforest, the Jellyfish Discovery and much more. There are several creatures on the endangered list that were rescued and can’t be released into the wild. Check out the Seahorse Kingdom, Ocean Tunnel, and Clownfish.

The Interactive Rockpool is a place where kids can get a hands-on experience with Pencil Sea Urchines and shelled creatures. You can touch a live sea star or hold a crab.

Also enjoy fun talks, feed shows, the interactive quiz trail, read fun facts throughout the aquarium, learn about making a difference for the ocean, play hide and seek with the Octopus, witness the Stingray display and see the bright white teeth of the 9 foot Sandtiger Sharks swimming overhead.
