Which is exactly what Edina does.
Sure, we don’t have the volume of condos that you’ll find in St. Paul or Minneapolis, but what you will find here on Edina’s condo market is well worth the look.
One of our favorite communities is Point of France condos, restricted to those age 55 and up. Over 140 homes fill this mid-rise building. Starting with one-bedroom units, you can find homes that feature up to five bedrooms with well over 3,000 square feet of living space. Best of all ― rentals are not allowed in this community.
Different floor plans are on offer for discerning homeowners, and several of them offer features you just won’t find everywhere, including custom cabinets and hardwood floors. The upper floors of the building offer spectacular views. Despite its age (built in 1975), this building has modern finishes throughout. There’s also an indoor pool, tennis courts and fitness room, so you don’t need to leave home to keep fit.
You will want to leave home, however, for Sunday brunch at The Tavern Grill, just down the street. You’ll find even more restaurants at 50th and France. It’s just a quick 5 minutes north of Point of France.
