Grab your Skates and get to Centennial Lakes Park!

It’s an almost balmy day here in Edina with a temperature of 32 degrees. But get set for the major drop in temperature that’s set to hit the area by tomorrow. From 32 today to 0 tomorrow is the forecast. Today is a great day then to get outdoors and spend the day at the park!

Sure, the paddleboats are locked down for the winter and there won’t be any remote control sailboat races for months, but that shouldn’t keep any self-respecting Edina-ite away from everyone’s favorite park.

The skating is fine right now at Centennial Lakes Park, on all 10 acres of the lake. Don’t feel like skating? The park offers Norwegian ice sleds for loads of winter fun.

Afterward, sit by the fire in the warming house with a steaming cup of hot chocolate.

You can skate until 9:30 tonight and every Saturday and until 9:30 on Sundays. With the warmer weather it’s a good idea to call before going. The number is 952-833-9586.
