The last official weekend-before-the-holiday season is upon us and if you’re looking for something fun to do in Edina, we have a couple of suggestions.
Sure it seems a bit early but the new Holiday Ice Rink at Southdale Center in Edina is open and refrigerated and ready for your blades, regardless of the weather. Free outdoor skating all season – great idea for this weekend before Thanksgiving.
Shop for a Cause
Get to the cafeteria at Edina High tomorrow to shop among Apres Party and Tent Rental’s clearance items. If you need china or new glassware for the big feast next week, this is your chance to get them at a discount. Best of all, this is a fundraiser for Edina High’s wrestling program.
The sale runs from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Listen to Holiday Music
Bring the family to catch the Edina Chorale in concert as they present “Peace on Earth: Peace, Pax, Shalom.” They’re calling it their exploration of the “many different iterations of peace in story, poetry, traditional carols. . .”
The concert is being held in Edina on Sunday, November 22 at 4:00 p.m. at Normandale Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Road. Tickets are $15 ($5 for students in grades K through 12). Stick around after the concert for punch and cookies. Get more information online here.
In case you’re wondering, Edina’s tree lighting ceremony is a week from tomorrow, on November 28.
