The Minnesota Children’s Museum is a favorite place to hang out in the city. Children love to learn, laugh and explore unique things in the museum all year. The museum tends to host special events throughout the year and right now they are gearing up for some big fun for kids. Check out their upcoming Dog Tales, Imagination Corner, New Year’s party and more this December.
On Sunday, December 7th, you can enjoy Fidgety Fairytales in the Great Big Room. It’s going to be on the first floor behind the Box Office at 1 and 3:30pm.
Macy’s Play Date
On December 9th check out Macy’s Play Date from 1-4pm. For Macy’s cardholders, you’ll get free admission and it will include a free snack and special activity.
Special Imagination Corner
Sandy Waterman, the artist of St. Paul Conservatory of Music Faculty, will be performing on December 14th from 10:30am-11am. You can enjoy guitar and ukulele music that Sunday. Sandy has been an educator of music, a co-director of music for Living Spirit UMC plus a jazz and classic rock keyboardist.
Sandy will be returning for the same event on Sunday, December 21st from 10:30-11am.
Don’t miss reading fun on December 20th from 10-11am. Dog Tales is a comfortable environment encouraging kid’s love for reading where kids can enjoy reading their favorite book to a therapy dog from the Therapy Dogs International at the Museum’s Pals on Paws chapter.
New Year’s Eve Celebration
Finally, don’t miss the Minnesota Children’s Museum’s New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31st. from 5-9pm, you can dress up your little ones in their favorite outfit for the party. This kid-friendly party will feature a countdown to the magical ball drop at 8pm, a stage where kids can rock out on inflatable guitars, live music from Will Hale and the Tadpole Parade and a change to create bejeweled art. It’s only $14 and will include snacks and museum admission.
