Watch a flick
Grab the family and head to Edinborough Park for the Friday Family Movie Night in Edina. Tonight you’ll be able to enjoy the Disney movie "Planes." The movie starts at 6:30 p.m.
More fall family fun
You’re invited to the Edina Community Center tomorrow morning for a chance to get to you’re your neighbors at the Family Harvest Party. Organized by the Edina Family Center PTO, they’re requesting that you bring a non-perishable food item for the food drive. The fun starts at 9:30 a.m. and wraps up at 11:30 a.m. at the Edina Community Center ECC room.
"Not So Scary" Halloween Party
This is a great event for the little ones who might get a bit too freaked out at older-kid Halloween events. The “Not so Scary” Halloween party features games, entertainment and trick-or-treating in a safe, no-so-scary environment. Admission is $9 per child and parents get in free when they pay their child’s admission. Get tickets in advance for this October 23 event at Edinborough Park or online. The fun starts at 6:00 p.m.
Work on your putt
I don’t think it’s possible to put too much work into my golf game and I think most golfers feel the same. If your short game could use some work, plan on attending the Adult Golf Clinic at Braemar Golf Course. The PGA pros there will help golfers at all levels, even newbies. The Short Game, Chip and Pitch Workshop will be held at Braemar Golf Dome on October 24 at 11 a.m. The cost is $20 for the one hour session.
An annual event, Edina’s Pumpkin Fest draws thousands of folks from around the Twin Cities. The stores of 50th & France swing open their doors for a pre-Halloween party like no other. Dress the kids in their costumes because they’ll be trick-or-treating from the merchants. Mom and Dad will enjoy the cake walk, horse trolley, the children’s costume contest and more. The fun at 50th & France is happening October 24 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
More Pumpkin Madness
FREE pumpkins! It’s the annual Kris Lindahl Team Great Pumpkin Giveaway and, although it’s held in Blaine and not Edina, you need to be there! Nordy from Minnesota Wild will be on hand for photo opportunities; you can enjoy yumminess from several food trucks and, naturally, get your free pumpkin. Head to Lakeside Commons Park on October 25. The event starts at 1:00 p.m. and runs until 4:00. Learn more here.
