The Kris Lindahl Team with RE/MAX Results occasionally lists a home that, for one reason or another, the homeowner doesn’t want listed on the Multiple Listing Service right away.
Sometimes the home isn’t cosmetically ready. Luxury homeowners may request their listing be withheld for privacy reasons. Whatever the reason, we hold these listings in our “pocket,” and call them “pocket listings.”
These owners are typically willing to show the home, to the right buyer – someone that is motivated enough to become pre-qualified for a mortgage so that he or she is ready to purchase. The “right” buyer is also someone who can look beyond any work being done to the home and someone that respects the owner’s privacy.

Pocket listings offer the homebuyer a chance to be the first in line for a home that may garner a lot of interest and perhaps multiple offers once they go public. They are your chance to get your foot in the door – giving you a definite edge over the competition.
Many homes are sold via the pocket listing system before they ever reach the Multiple Listing Service – sometimes before even one photograph is snapped. The Lindahl Team has a huge network and many of the buyers come from people who know people who . . . well, you know the rest.
